Yes- scar camouflage tattooing is safe, but as with any procedure, there are risks, although minimal. Please discuss with your artist any potential allergies or sensitivities. Our artists have been trained to work specifically with delicate post-surgery skin, scar tissue, and take every care imaginable to avoid any additional trauma or damage to the skin.
-
All potential scar camouflage starts with an individualized consult. Scars & Stretchmarks must be at least 2 years old, must be flat in texture (keloids or hypertrophic scars are NOT candidates for scar camo), and must be lighter than the surrounding skin to produce optimal results.
-
We can not work on Keloid scars. Attempting to address their appearance with tattoos will just set back any resolution that may be developing. If your scar is raised and looks like a keloid, but hasnt been diagnosed as such, keep an eye on it. It may simply be an active hypertrophic scar that may flatten and fade in time, and if so it can then be treated. If you are in doubt, please get in touch with us and we can help determine the proper course forward.
-
Scar camouflage tattoo is a very delicate process that involves slowly implanting layers of light washes of pigment into the skin. Some scars take time and patience to properly camouflage. Therefore less is more as we build on our previous work. Multiple sessions may be required for optimal results.
After initial consult your artist will give you a price quote based on your individualized needs depending on the work required. Price quote may either be per session or per hour.
-
Since the scar camouflage technique involves matching your skin’s undertones, tanning or seasonal change of skin tone is not typically an issue.
-
Yes, it works well for all skin types and skin tones. However, individuals with darker skin tend to “pull dark” in scar tissue, so we require a series of test patches to ensure correct skin color matching. Special care will be taken for those who are prone to developing keloids or hyperpigmentation.

Clients must have written go-ahead from their surgeon and be at least 6 months to 1 year post-op to proceed with 3-D areola reconstruction. This allows for ample healing time required, breast settlement and for the required scar maturation to have taken place. Please come to your appointment with clean skin / no lotion or skincare products.
-
As the 3-D areola procedure is considered the final stage of reconstruction for breast cancer patients, many insurances reimburse for this procedure. Sigil Aesthetics can provide you with the necessary documentation if required. Please inquire with your insurance beforehand to check coverage.
-
3D areola tattooing is considered a permanent body tattoo. Clients may experience some lightening over time and scar tissue can sometimes lend to difficulty retaining pigment, but the majority of our clients experience optimal results with their first procedure. We use pigments specifically formulated for this type of work and we suggest a follow up session to ensure optimal results.
-
Clients who have undergone a mastectomy often experience a loss of feeling in the area due to nerve damage, tissue removal and trauma to the skin via scar tissue. Most clients feel only mild discomfort if any at all. We do offer topical anesthetics to those with sensitivities if required and do our best to observe any pain thresholds to ensure comfort during your procedure. Often times clients fall asleep!
-
Unfortunately, no. We do not tattoo pregnant or nursing people as a safety precaution.

We respect that each person is different. Depending on multiple factors including over exfoliation, prolonged sun exposure and how each individual metabolizes pigment, color retention/results can vary.
Basic Lip Blush usually requires just 2 sessions, while Lip Neutralization typically takes 3+ sessions depending on how your skin responds to pigment implementation and your specific care plan. Each person is different and your needs may vary.
Your lip blush will last 1-2 years before a refresher session is recommended.
-
Yes you can! Please allow for 3 weeks between lip blush and filler appointments as any sooner may cause filler migration.

While lip tattooing can help blend in discoloration from scars, it won’t remove the scar itself. Scarred skin doesn't retain pigment the same way healthy skin does, so these areas often require more time and attention to get consistent color.

Working with lips that naturally have more melanin involves a careful, specialized approach. This service should only be performed by a seasoned professional with advanced skills in pigment techniques. Not every permanent makeup (PMU) artist is equipped to handle this work safely or effectively—so finding someone with proven expertise is crucial.
Since melanin-rich lips are unique in how they respond to color, it typically takes several appointments to achieve a smooth and even tone. Most clients will need between 2 to 4 sessions, each spaced 14–18 weeks apart, for the best results.

It’s important not to rush the process. Pushing for quick results can actually cause the lips to darken further or result in no visible improvement. When performed with care, this procedure can gently shift the tone to a soft nude or pink hue that complements your natural coloring.
-
Keep in mind: Results are not guaranteed, and the final outcome depends on many factors, including your skin’s response. If you're unsure whether this is right for you, we recommend booking a consultation or emailing us high-quality, well-lit photos of your lips.
Some lips may not be suited for this treatment. Heavily pigmented, scarred, or damaged lips might not respond well.

Long hair, short hair, no hair- all the same.
Clients who have no hair, or hardly any hair and clients who have a lot of hair that’s more sparsely placed than they’d like can all receive SMP.
IF you have very little to no hair, it’s best to consider your long range plan before committing to SMP. For instance, if you have a receding hairline and want to extend it to a more full coverage with SMP, you should be prepared to keep your actual hair clipped short. If you allow it to grow- it will break the illusion of full coverage that SMP creates. A little stubble is great but too much more than that works against the goal of SMP.
For longer hair clients- our goal is to manipulate the contrast of exposed skin and hair. The SMP takes advantage of shadows created by the existing hair to help conceal thin or bald areas.

Usually a full procedure is comprised of three sessions or more, each spaced 10 to 14 days apart. Each session lasts about 3 to 4 hours. Results are apparent after the first session and build towards a final result.
-

BB Glow Permanent Makeup(PMU) Skin Brightening and Tone Evening Facial uses pigment and nutritional serum to hide blemishes and creates the most supple; even, skin tone imaginable- in the process it boosts collagen production and cleans pores. It’s the premier version of procedures commonly called “Semi Permanent Foundation” ours is the only process licensed by the KFDA (Korean Food & Drug Admin) - a leader in global best practices for the beauty industry.
-
BB Glow is intended and best suited for application on the face. Occasionally clients inquire about using this same process for other areas or to address scars effectively. In such instances, we recommend our Scar Camouflage treatment.
-
The serums, pigments and microneedling produce lasting results with the first application. Best results are achieved after the third session, as it’s a cumulative process. We offer bundled services of three sessions at a discounted rate, which save you money and time and trouble of individually scheduling and paying booking fees.
